An honest review for Lo & Sons Claremont bag.

If you ask my fiance what bloggers do, he would probably say something along the lines of “taking a million photos” and, he wouldn’t be wrong. Yes, that is a fraction of what goes into every post, but lord knows, I take a lot of photos.
Years ago, when I made the upgrade to a DSLR I knew there was no going back. It was one of the best investments I made in my photography. When I first brought my Canon 6D home, I remember having my dogs pose, and I took the same photo on my phone, and my DSLR (in auto mode no less, because I didn’t know how to use it yet) and I was floored at the difference.

My next birthday, I asked my parents for a camera bag. One I still have and love, that was big enough to fit all my gear. It was a serious upgrade from literally nothing, but when we were heading to Alaska last year, I knew I needed something different.
I needed a fashion forward camera bag that was perfect for travel and could double as my purse without being obviously a camera bag. My criteria was that I wanted a true camera bag, with structure and padding to protect my camera and lens. I needed a bag large enough to fit my camera, with 50mm lens that I like to travel with, my wallet, chap stick and Rayban Folding Wayfair sunglass case. I wanted it to be genuine leather for quality. And, being a fashion and lifestyle blogger, of course it needed to look like a purse to go with my outfits while we were traveling. After all, we have to #doitforthegram!

Let me tell you, I scoured the internet. I had settled for a non-leather camera bag that I thought would be the perfect travel purse as well, but it turned out to be too small, and the faux leather just wasn’t sophisticated enough.
I finally ended up stumbling across Lo & Sons camera bags. Immediately, I could tell they were in a different league of quality from many of the other camera bags on the market. The Claremont bag was everything I was looking for and more. It perfectly fit my Canon 6D, with my 50mm lens on it, which is I always travel with to shoot outfits, food, and general travel sights. It also fit my slim wallet, my phone, chap stick, and the Rayban Folding Wayfair sunglass case!

Now, with all that in the bag, there is room for nothing else. Like, air molecules will have to squeeze in. So, when you take something out, sometimes, things will shift and you will need to take a moment to move things back in perfect Tetris position. Personally, for the literal perfect bag, this doesn’t bother me. But, good to know before you make the investment. And, it is a bit of an investment compared to a lot of camera bags.
Remember, I said I wanted genuine leather. Well, this leather is a dream. Soft, yet sturdy. The interior is padded with a removable divider, which is perfect for keeping your camera and lens safe. There is a back pocket which fits my iPhone X perfectly. Every little thing is thought out. Even the leather logo tag also doubles as a slot to carry an extra SD card for your camera! It is everything I wanted in a travel camera bag. It also looks incredibly stylish. It looks great with outfits. I went for the the color “Sienna” which is a soft warm brown that is so lovely. It also comes in black and a light gray, which would go with everything! All of that comes with a price tag. Retail is $298. To me, this was more than fair. You can get 15% off your first purchase from Lo & Sons. I paid full price and, with the amount of times I have used this bag, it’s cost per wear is much lower than many of my other purses. It is priced like a designer handbag, and it looks like one.

The biggest con for this bag, and the reason it might not work for people, I would say, is because of the size. If you are bringing a DSLR and an extra lens, you wont be able to really also use it as a purse. When I’m traveling, I just want the one lens to make it easy to take photos on the go. This makes it a perfect travel camera bag for me. But, it wouldn’t work for me on a daily basis when I want to bring multiple lessees.
Overall, I love my Lo & Sons Claremont bag and would highly recommend it to friends and family! It is the best travel camera bag for women!

Ohhh this bag is gorgeous! I stopped taking my DSLR around because the bag I have, along with my own purse, is so bulky. I really want to try this bag!!
