Warning! This post has approximately 10,000 photos, because I am obsessed with our Christmas cards! Proceed with caution.
It’s that time of year, I’m so excited to share with everyone our Christmas card this year! Christmas cards are mostly in the mail and on their way to our friends and family. And, I just couldn’t wait any longer to show the world our Christmas cards.
Since my fiancé, aka the handsome hunk, was away training with the military this fall, I wanted to make sure we had photos for our Christmas cards before he left so we wouldn’t be left photo-less for Christmas cards this year. Basically, a photo obsessed, millennial’s worst nightmare. So, I called up one of my favorite local photographers, Katheryn Moran, and scheduled our shoot.
Since we were doing our shoot months before sending out the Christmas cards, we were able to not freeze our heinies off and have some beautiful flowers at our shoot. And, this folks is why you hire a professional. Not only because the photos always turn out so much better when someone who knows what they are doing is shooting, but because they know the best spots and have access to them. We never would have been able to stop at this flower farm and gone out into their fields and taken photos. But, your photographer has relationships with the most amazing places and can get you in spots you never even knew existed.
I couldn’t be happier with our cards, and the shoot in general. I ordered my romper online and died when it showed up. Straight up died y’all. It was so much more perfect than I could have imagined. I ordered a couple sizes, and one size up ended up being the perfect fit. If you have curves, you’ll want to size up one. But, I firmly believe every woman should have this romper in their closet. I got compliments from men, women and children while wearing it.
After our photo shoot, the handsome hunk and I went to Elizabeth Station for a celebratory bubbly. This is one of our favorite spots to grab a beer in Bellingham. Think 7/11 for beer snobs. They have hundreds of beer options to go, and tons on tap to try. It’s an unpretentious little place with picnic tables, that sells gas station type munchies, good beer, and usually has a food truck outside. You can take everything to go, or hang out there to enjoy. We always end up trying completely new and different things that we can’t find anywhere else.
Not a bad Christmas card tradition.
Check out our Christmas card photos from last year too!
