Now that it’s after Christmas and all our Christmas cards have been sent out I can *finally* show off our pictures!
You might be thinking, “Finally? Jane, it’s just two days after Christmas, don’t you think *finally* is a little dramatic?” And, you would have a point, but these have been in production since May! Do you know how hard it is for a millennial girl, blogger, and Instagram fanatic to have out of this world photos done and then NOT share them?!
Let me tell you, it’s been really hard.
A good friend of mine, Acacia, who happens to be the dynamite photographer behind Belle Hiver Photography. Last May, she made her way from her Minnesota home to Seattle for a couple weeks. Acacia is hands down one of the nicest, wittiest, most sarcastic, and fun loving ladies. I jumped on the opportunity to work with her and immediately booked her to take our pictures. While I love having pictures taken, hello memories, Tom is your typical manly man. While he is an amazing Instagram boyfriend, and takes oodles of the pictures for this blog, he felt uncomfortable being on the other side of the camera. Acacia, was so sweet and had him laughing and relaxing in no time.
Knowing how busy our lives get over the summer months and into fall, I knew that I wanted to use these pictures on our Christmas cards. This is our first year doing Christmas cards together. It’s been a year of a lot of milestones. We moved into our dream home, hosted our first party together, went on some amazing trips, and I was so excited to have these pictures taken of us. And, if you’re ever in the area of Acacia and her travels (or her home base in Minnesota) do yourself a favor and book Belle Hiver Photography for a shoot! It was such a blast.
So without further ado, here are some pictures!

What cute photos!
I had a similar situation with Keith. It only took us 6 years after our wedding to get our pictures done again but once he met my friends who were doing it, he was comfortable and willing so I’m like “get shooting!”
