I’m a total sucker for two things, Christmas decorations and seeing inside other people’s homes. And, before you say, “That’s really creepy Jane!” I know I’m not the only one out there! Maybe you’re just smart enough not to admit it on the internet. As a Real Estate Broker, I often times get great ideas for my own interior design when I show homes. There is a home that I drive past multiple times/day, with big windows and over the past few weeks they have been decorating their home, inside and out. And, when it’s all lit up at night, they have beautiful hand painted Christmas messages in the window, that look into where the Christmas tree is, and all the outside lights are up. These people know how to decorate for the holidays!
Since I know I’m not the only one who likes seeing a little snippet inside others homes I decided to share my own Christmas decorations this year.
We moved into our new home in October, so the house isn’t completely put together, especially when it comes to decor. Much to my dismay, the walls are still nearly completely bare, while all our photos and art are stored elsewhere in the home, waiting to be hung. However, even though the house isn’t decorated exactly to my level of West Elm catalog worthy desire, it is coming along and I was happy with how our home Christmas decorations turned out this year.
What are your favorite Christmas decorations in your own home?

We like to collect ornaments when we travel. We don’t always remember, but it makes putting up ornaments so fun, and we get to reminisce about all our trips. And my tree collar might be my favorite Christmas decoration. While this one from last year is no longer available, I might like the one this year even more!

Puppies in front of the Christmas tree! Makes my heart burst.

Our entry table decorated for the holidays! I’ve been diffusing Evergreen Dream from Rocky Mountain Oils all month, it smells heavenly!

I love our mantel decor. This mantel scarf is from Pier 1 last year, but this one that’s available now has a similar feel and is darling! I went a little crazy with when Magnolia’s line for Target, Hearth & Hand came out. I got these darling nesting houses, little house stocking holders, and this galvanized holder that will be perfect to hold greenery year round.
