Hey there fall! Oh how I’ve missed you. In all honesty, I’m a summer girl, always have been. And, when fall first starts coming my way, I fight it. But, once the air starts getting crisp, the leaves start turning, and I pull out my sweaters, I remember how much I love fall. I can be a summer girl and still love fall.
I was in the mood for all things fall this week. I brewed myself some cozy tea, this salted caramel tea is life, and started pulling out the fall decor items out of the garage. And, the boxes from when we moved last year. Last year we were in the midst of packing, moving, and unpacking all fall, so I didn’t get to decorate for fall. Mostly, I was beat, and unpacking the essentials came before unpacking seasonal decor and making the house merry.
I added some new pieces in too. We got engaged at Mt Denali in August, so of course, while we were on our trip, I had to find a photograph of Mt Denali. This is now one of my absolute favorite pieces we own. It’s just so special to me. I picked up the galvanized vase from Joanna Gaines’ collaboration with Target, Hearth & Hand, last year and I use it all the time! I thought it would be great for the holidays with greenery, but turns out it’s perfect all year long. I went and trimmed some fall branches off a tree in our yard, and they look perfect, and bring a pop of color to our mantel.
The American flag, was created by a local artisan. I absolutely love it and get so many compliments. I found a similar rustic wood American flag on Etsy that is very similar. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without some mini pumpkins and gourds!
If you are a green thumb, and have any good tips for my poor fiddle leaf fig, give them to a girl! Whenever I google my results tell me that I am either over watering, under watering, giving it too much light, or not enough light. Which, let me tell you, is not helpful.
