I am a sucker, a downright sucker, for a floral crown. I’m looking at your snapchat floral crown filter! Usually, flower crowns are saved for spring and summer, but I loved the idea of creating a DIY fall floral crown to wear with all the fun fall colors. So what’s a girl with a Pinterest account and around $20 to do? Go make her own fall floral crown of course!
Turns out, it’s so easy to make, and fun! I couldn’t believe how quickly it went by. I made my fall floral crown while sitting in front of the TV watching Hulu with the handsome hunk.
What you need:
Floral or Craft Wire
Green Floral Tape
Small Green Foliage
Silk Flowers of Choice (These poppies would be beautiful!)
Ribbon Color of Choice
Hot Glue Gun
I was so happy with how my DIY fall floral crown turned out that I decided to share the project with all of you! The only thing I’m waiting for now, is another season to make another season themed crown.
The process couldn’t be simpler.
Step 1
Measure your head and make a circle with the wire so it will fit comfortably. Note on this, you will don’t want it to be too loose that it doesn’t sit nicely. But, you also don’t want it to be too tight since the flowers will add in some extra space filling it up.
Step 2
Decide on the order of your flowers, then cut the flowers and leaves so they have about an inch of stem to wrap with the floral tape.
Step 3
Start in the front with the center flower, placing where you want it, then wrapping the stem to the wire circle with the floral tape. Continue with the rest of your pattern, moving around one side until you have about 1″ from the middle back. Then work on the other side again until you have about 1″ from the middle back.
Step 4
When you have finished attaching all the flowers, you should have about a 2″ gap in the back for your bow and ribbon. Cut a few inches of ribbon to twist around the back wire gap, securing with hot glue. Tie a bow, and attach the bow with the hot glue. Let cool and you’re ready to wear your fall floral crown!

Love the fall floral crown. The leaves are starting to change here in New England and the fall colors would be perfect for my nieces birthday photo shoot.

I don’t know if you had American Girl dolls, but this totally reminds me of Kirsten’s St. Lucia outfit. I was obsessed with that, and I now kind of want my own floral crown.
