DIY Rose Facial Oil - Make your own facial oil with essential oils

I’m not always a DIY person. I am busy, busy, busy. You boss babes get it. Hustling is long and hard. So, if it saves me time, I don’t mind shelling out some dough for a premade product. However, when I can make an even better product myself, it’s quick, easy AND can save me money, sign me up! And, that is my DIY rose facial oil.

Note, I’m not a dermatologist or anything like that. I have been using this on my own skin, and love it. But, I have no medical knowledge beyond that. Be smart, if something irritates your skin, don’t use it.

I tried a big brand rose facial oil and was so disappointed. It was mostly water, had added coloring, and looking at the ingredient list, there wasn’t even any rose oil in it! Talk about misleading. So I started making my own.

My girl Tawni originally got me into essential oils. I know you all have seen people touting the wonders of essential oils all over social media. Not going to lie, I’m a bit of a hippie. My mom is a total hippie, and I’m proud to say that has rubbed off on me. So, I was attracted to the whole essential oil thing. I like the idea of natural materials in my home over chemicals. And, that is especially true with my skin.

So I jumped in, tried the whole essential oil trend, took some classes and I was converted. I started making my own facial oils. I love this diy rose facial oil.  The combination is perfect for hydrating your skin, clearing your skin, and making it silky smooth.

Rose oil is so good for your skin. Rose oil is also expensive. Like, expensive, expensive. And, you use so little of it because essential oils are so potent and strong. If I ran a business that might be one thing, but since I’m just making this for myself I choose to do Blend of Rose. Blend of Rose is such a good option if you’re not going to be using a ton of very expensive rose oil. It is a combination of rose and coconut oil, which is also wonderful for your skin.

The rest of the oils are also power boosts for your skin. Helichrysum is incredibly healing. Rosewood helps clears your skin. Carrot Seed is very nourishing. Vitamin E  protects your skin. Apricot Kernel oil is great for maturing skin and preventing wrinkles. Jojoba helps keep your skin moisturized. And Copaiba enhances the work the other oils are doing. I put it all together in some roller balls that I keep in my bathroom, purse, and office to roll on whenever my skin needs a pick me up. My mom also uses this for her eczema and swears by it.

I love using these roller balls with the metal rollers. The cool metal really soothes your eyes first thing in the morning. Goodbye bags!

I love all things rose, so this looks up my alley! My mom used to use rose water as part of her skincare regime when I was little!

That has to be so hard going through lists of ingredients all the time! Perks of making things yourself, you control exactly what goes in.

Love this post! I love RMO. I use Plant Therapy oils as well. It’s always great to see people using oils that aren’t MLM! Blend of Rose is a great oil to get the benefits of the rose without the price tag!

I haven’t tried the Plant Therapy oils yet, so good to know they get your stamp of approval! I’ve been really happy with RMO too!
