After a lovely, relaxing weekend to Leavenworth, a Bavarian themed town in the gorgeous Cascade mountains, it’s time to work! Leavenworth was beautiful and I’ll be sharing more on that later.
The time has finally come, it’s moving week! In case you missed my announcement, the Handsome Hunk and I are moving in together! So, things are a little hectic around here. I decided not to take the week off work, which I may or may not regret, we will see. I’ll either get out of a lot of the manual labor that’s going on while I’m working (is it bad that I’m hoping for this?), or I’ll be up until 2:00 AM every morning and stressed out of my mind. Only time will tell.
It’s a lot of work consolidating two full households into one. Including, what will now be three dogs. Pray for us!
I love, love and have really been looking forward to spending more time together. Island life is great, and thank goodness for bridges, but not having to commute to different islands to see each other will be nice. I’m looking forward to weeknight dinners, date nights grocery shopping (we aren’t the only ones who love grocery shopping together are we? #HowWeKnowWe’reOld), and just being able to see my best friend every day. I’m a big ole sap.
Wish us luck!

Leavenworth looks gorgeous and probably the perfect getaway before the move, because i know how hectic that can be. Shame on me and my geography but I had to look up where the Cascade Mountains were and well good to know now! lol Good luck with the move and hope you get settled in soon!
Woah! Big step but yay! Also “commuting to another island” sounds so exotic :p
One of my favorite things to do with my husband is grocery shopping! I love being able to share the little mundane moments together. Good luck with your move! I remember how crazy it was when we finally moved in together — but it was also so exciting. I’ve always wanted to go to Leavenworth. Nick was stationed in Bangor for a while but we just never made it there. Can’t wait to hear all about it.
