Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

Lifestyle

If there is one thing Skagit Valley is known for, other than our cabbage seeds (yes, not cabbage, but cabbage seeds), it’s the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. The entire month of April is dedicated to the festival and brings in over 300,000 visitors to the small community. It’s a huge boost to the local economy, and, have I mentioned, tulips! Millions of tulips!…

How to Build a Professional Wardrobe

Fashion

I am lucky, as a Real Estate Broker and Realtor®, my professional wardrobe is fairly flexible. If I know I’m going to be at inspections all day, I can dress down. No one has time for looking in a crawl space with 5″ heels on. Whereas if I am going on a listing appointment, I can spruce up. Starting from scratch can…

Spring is in full swing, and I’m loving these warmer temps and sunnier days! But, warmER, doesn’t exactly mean warm. Just like sunniER doesn’t mean sunny. As much as I want to wear nothing but a sundress and sandals,…

Spring Home Maintenance

Spring Home Maintenance

Home

Spring has sprung! See my Instagram feed as proof. I cannot stop taking pictures of flowers. You guys, I seriously can’t stop. Addict status. Slightly warmer breezes flowing through newly opened windows, and the sun breaking through for the first time this year, also means it’s time to start thinking about Spring Home Maintenance. Oh no you say! I can…

I had so much fun planting a garden this year, and I had so much fun planting a garden this year, and I am already planning next year’s garden to be even better! Any expert gardening tips? #sponsored

We grew lots of veggies this year, zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, collards, cabbage, peas, onions, and leeks to name a few! But, turns out, just the two of us can’t quite eat everything we planted. We don’t have to let it go to waste! @BonniePlants and @AmpleHarvest teamed up to help local food pantries take in food from home gardeners. I was able to find a local place to drop off vegetables at AmpleHarvest.org. It feels really good to help support my community and neighbors in need! #bonniegrowsmore
Did anyone else plant a quarantine garden? 🙋‍ Did anyone else plant a quarantine garden? 🙋‍♀️ I’ve been wanting to plant a vegetable garden for years, but until this year, it really wasn’t a priority. So glad we finally dove in! We have loved eating out of our garden. A mixed veggie stir fry bowl is one of my favorite of our culinary creations! #sponsored

We ended up planting more than we could eat. And during this time where so many local families are hurting, it felt wrong to throw away perfectly good food. @BonniePlants joined forces with @AmpleHarvest to help make an impact on our neighbors and our communities. Now, you can DONATE your home grown vegetables to the hungry in your community. Talk about a game changer! Head over to AmpleHarvest.org, and see where you can donate near you! #bonniegrowsmore
