When Seattle announced it would be getting an NHL team we knew we were going to be fans and couldn’t wait to go to a game. So when the Kraken’s inaugural season finally rolled around, we got our tickets and couldn’t wait.
Spoiler alert, it lived up to expectations.
We decided to get dinner before the game, although there are decent food options at Climate Pledge Arena, with a futuristic self checkout system, I was craving sushi. So we grabbed sushi at Moontree Sushi. It was delicious and fresh, and very busy on game day due to it’s great reviews and proximity to the stadium. So reservations are recommended.
We then headed into the new and improved Climate Pledge Arena! Everyone showed a covid vaccine card or negative covid test and we were in!
Not being avid hockey fans, we decided on tickets in the nosebleeds. We were pleasantly surprised at how good of a view you have in the nosebleeds! If you want to shell out the cash, by all means, get closer to the ice. But, if you want to try out a game at a lower cost, you don’t get a lower experience.
Unfortunately we lost the game, but still had a blast! After the game, we made the trek to the Seattle late night classic, Dick’s for a burger. Definitely an important part of the experience.
If you’re local to the Seattle-ish area, or going to be in the area during the season, I highly recommend getting tickets to go to a game.
