I was torn on sharing something so light today, considering everything going on in the world right now with the Coronavirus. But, I also think that we can balance the serious with a little fun. And, this simple and elegant neutral spring tablescape is definitely fun!
One thing I love about spring is all the newness in the air. Plants start to bud out, leaves start returning to trees, and there is all the baby animals. While your garden may not love all the new baby bunnies and deer, they are undeniably cute.
It was with that sense of rebirth that I added natural elements to this spring tablescape. The lemons add a pop of color, and a fresh scent for your dining room. I love having some fresh berries out on the table during dinner for a quick, healthy sweet bite to reduce those sweet tooth cravings.
For a spring tablescape, I like to keep a clean, neutral color palette. It gives a casual, yet elegant feel, and allows the natural elements to pop. Since greenery and flowers are what this season is all about, a neutral base allows them to take center stage.
Natural elements don’t just mean greenery and flowers however. Using a marble cake stand nods to both those natural elements as well as a neutral palette.
I used a mix of real and faux flowers and greenery. The faux greenery allows me to get the exact shape and fullness that I want, and keeps for a long time. And, then add in real floral notes that will need to be changed out over time to have that realness.

Jane, this is gorgeous! I love neutrals, and those pops of blue and fresh green are just lovely. I’ll admire from afar though because ya girl has no style of her own 😉
