I know every other blogger out there will say fall is their favorite season for clothes and fashion, but I always have been, and will always be a summer girl. I love the easy styles, laid back attitudes, long days, warm nights, boat days, bonfires, and beach trips that are the landmarks of summer. When everything smells like fresh flowers, sunscreen and salt water.
It’s the perfect time to mix up casual and more festive pieces. You can also mix and match classic staples with fun trendy additions to your wardrobe. Anything goes in summer! Everyone is having fun, and it’s reflected in your clothes. It’s the seasons that you need to be able to transition from work to fun in the sun to date night all in one day.
I’m not exactly sure what summer is going to look like this year. I plan on still having lots of fun, soaking up sunshine, and enjoying myself, but it might be around a few less people and not quite so far from home. It’s an interesting time, and I don’t think anyone knows for sure what the new normal is going to be.
This year I am swooning over all the summer styles. Classic blue is the color of the year and it is showing up a lot in new styles this season. I also love all the lemon prints that are in this year. They remind me of women in vintage photographs. There is something sweet and feminine about lemon print.
I wanted to share my favorites from my favorite stores, at a variety of different price points. My personal philosophy with my own closet is that I fill it with things that make me happy, regardless of brand or price point. $200 or $20, I like quality pieces with timeless silhouettes, classic colors, and a few trendy pieces thrown in.

I just LOVE that dress on you, and I’m with you – I love summer fashion! I think the only reason I prefer fall fashion is because I’ve yet to be comfortable in my own body for a long time, so layers are easier for me. That said, I’m a sucker for all those gingham and seersucker prints!
