It’s wedding season, aka Super Bowl season for fashion lovers. Which means if you are a fashionista, you’ll be looking for some of the best summer wedding guest dresses. And, even if fashion isn’t your thing, you’re looking for a little help as what to wear as a wedding guest.
One thing I love about summer wedding guest dresses is you can be fun with them! While yes, you do not want to steal thunder from the bride, you can really have fun with your look. Summer weddings beg for a fun wedding guest dress. Throw in a ruffled number, or a great pattern, and don’t be afraid of color! Remember though, white is for the bride only. No exceptions, unless you are specifically told by the bride (no asking!) to wear white. This also includes ivory, eggshell, off white, and any other variation of white you can come up with. While you might think, that goes without saying, pretty much every wedding I have ever been to, there is some guest there in a white dress. Don’t let that be you!
My favorite things about summer weddings is I get to experiment with my fashion choices. The tiered formal dress look is really in right now. This is the perfect time to test that out. Summer weddings tend to be more relaxed than fall and winter weddings. Even if they are formal, playful options are welcomed in summer weddings.
I wore this dress to my sister’s wedding and it was a big hit. I loved wearing it. Very comfortable, which you don’t always get out of wedding guest dresses, and I loved the two layers with the lace. I sized up for my bust and suggest ladies with curves on top do the same. Plus, it comes in tons of colors.
What’s your favorite summer wedding guest dress look?
