Can we talk about the crazy weather for a moment? I know it’s nuts where you are, because it’s been insane everywhere. Here in the PNW we will have snow in the mornings, followed by sunny afternoons in the high 50’s. Talk about a temperature swing! This will all tie together, I promise.
So, what does that have to do with transitioning your business attire to Spring? Mostly, it’s just hard to dress for. In Winter, you wear warm clothes. In Spring, you wear dresses. Right now, if you wear warm clothes you’ll be baking by afternoon. But, if you wear Spring dresses you’ll be freezing your tushy off all morning. What’s a girl to do?
My answer is short and simple. Layers. That, and just know if you wear cute sandals like these, you might need to bring another pair of shoes for the morning. I love this light lace dress I got from ThredUp for a steal. It’s so cute, and the color reminds me that Spring really is coming. But, as much as I would love to go bare arms right now, the weather is not going for it. So, I can easily pair it with a warm blazer like I did here, or a chunky sweater to keep me warm.
Transitioning your business attire to Spring, can be a fun way of using your Winter and Spring wardrobes in totally new and fun combinations. Add a piece of chunky jewelry, a pair of shoes that make you swoon, and call it a day. But, this time of year, I always have a backup pair of shoes close by. One minute the sun might be out which is perfect for something strappy and opened toed. But, the next you might be finding yourself in the middle of a snow storm. Backup shoes are the way to go.
