Before Before
I could write a ballad for my love of greige. The trendy wall color that’s somewhere between gray and beige. It goes with everything, it looks good with everything. It isn’t too warm or too cool.
My personal favorite greige is Storm’s Coming by PPG. It really goes with everything! It makes white trim really pop. Or, our shiplap accent wall! Even PPG says that it goes with both pinks (warm colors) and blues (cool colors).

When we first bought our home, it had not been touched since being built in the 1990’s. And, it looked like it. Yellow walls, ornate red tapestry curtains, and original everything. See all the before photos!
Our house had been very well maintained, but not at all updated. And, the thing I disliked the most was all the yellow. Yellow walls melted into yellow carpet. One day we will replace the carpet with wood floors. But, by just changing out the wall color to Storm’s Coming greige, it made a huge difference in our home.
Suddenly our home feels so much larger, brighter, and downright happier. It’s amazing what a change in color can do. And, without making many other major changes, the greige wall color also makes the house feel so much more modern.
Being located a couple blocks from the beach, our home has a coastal design feel to it, which the greige wall color pairs perfectly with. It would look equally gorgeous with a modern farmhouse, beach, contemporary, and even traditional vibes.
What do you think of the greige wall color trend?
