Denim Jacket – Kohl’s | Dress – Kohl’s Similar | Shoes – Kohl’s Similar | Necklace – Similar

Oh my gosh, you guys, Spring is here! It finally made it! I was sure that Winter was going to hold on forever and we would never get to sunnier days and warmer weather. It still might not be SUNNY here in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle starts being sunny in July. Sadly, I’m not kidding on that. But, there seems to be a little more sunshine poking out between the clouds, so, I’m breaking out one of my Spring staples, my denim jacket. I love to rock a denim jacket.

Throw it Over a Dress

My personal favorite. Any dress looks good with a denim jacket thrown over it. Any dress! A ballgown at the end of an evening, on your way back to your car, even that, is going to look super cute. Usually though, it’s sun dresses I’m rocking with my denim jacket.

Wear with Colorful and/or Print Pants

One great way to rock a denim jacket is to pair it with fun colored pants. Since we usually have jeans as our basic and jazz them up with colorful tops, we do the opposite here. The top will be our basic and then we can rock it with some really fun pants.

With a Basic Tee

There is nothing better than the age old combination of your favorite tee paired with your favorite denim jacket. They fit like a glove and feel like an old friend. This is my go to on weekends when I’m running around town.

Denim on Denim

For the daring girls out there, you can totally rock denim on denim without looking like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake a la the 2001 American Music Awards. I will always remember, my college roommate would rock the denim on denim look and I was always too timid to try it. She looked fabulous and knew how to rock a denim jacket! The key is wearing different shades and washes to make it look like you aren’t wearing a denim uniform.

With a Romper

Can we talk about how much I’m loving rompers? The reason I love dresses is that you look so put together but in reality, you went in your closet, pulled out one piece of clothing and poof, instant outfit! Now. rompers are the same thing, but you don’t have to worry about the wind picking up your skirt and showing the entire Target parking lot your lovely, yellow, granny panties… Not that I’m speaking from personal experience here. And, I love how great a romper looks while you rock a denim jacket too!

I haven’t had a denim jacket for years, and your post is convincing me to reconsider that decision! They really can be worn with so many different outfits. 🙂

Denim jackets are a must in everyone’s closet. I personally love wearing them over dresses. I have a jacket that is over 10 years old and getting holes in the elbows but I’m not ready to part with it yet!

I love your ideas for styling! My personal favorite is to wear it over a dress – and a floral dress makes it even better!!

I love how dark washed your denim jacket is!! I have a lighter washed one, and I wear it all the time! Love the styles but am always so hesitant to do denim on denim

Love this look! I’ve outgrown all my denim jackets and actually have to make a trip to Kohl’s today to pick up a gift so I might fall victim to a new denim jacket since I have some Kohl’s cash! lol Did you get the elephant necklace from Kohl’s I saw one looking almost identical there last weekend.

I love denim jackets with dresses! It’s supposed to be near 70 here tomorrow (with rain, but still…). I actually shaved my legs (haha), and I was thinking of wearing a cute maternity dress I got with my denim jacket and booties. Then I saw your post! Geniuses. 😉

Yes! I love a good denim jacket these days. I just picked up an oversized one and I can’t wait to wear it! It totally reminds me of elementary school in the 90s, but I’m fine with it.

I always feel sketchy about denim on denim because in my head I feel like they should match, but good to know that it shouldn’t. I love my denim jacket, but I don’t wear it near often enough!
