A trend that has been going on for a while, and holding strong, that I love, is sneakers. Wearing sneakers and not looking like you stepped out of a bad photo from the 1980’s. Wearing sneakers with cute outfits, and even dresses! Not only is it now chic, but so comfortable. This is a trend I love, especially when you’re traveling. You can walk all over a city and keep those toes pain free, while still looking cute enough to take an instagram pic at the drop of a hat. Here is a few simple tips on how to wear sneakers with jeans.
Find a Fun Sneaker
There are so many fun sneaker options out there these days! Some of my favorite places to get sneakers are Kate Spade, Sperry Topsiders, and these ones are from an amazing artist I found on Etsy, Escape from the City. Depending on your outfit, solid colors or patterns are both fun ways to go.
You can find downright adorable sneakers at any price point. From Michael Kors to Payless (these are SO cute and SO cheap!), there is something for everyone. And, activewear being so popular in the athleisure look you can now mix and match casual pieces with your favorite cute gym shoes. I love rocking my Nike Metcon’s while out running errands, while still looking cute and fashion forward.
No Socks!
Jump for joy that sneakers are in again! But, what isn’t in is those socks sneaking up and poking out from your socks. I live in the land of comfortable shoes and socks. It is a regular thing to see people wearing socks with their sandals. So, I might get a little push back here from the hippie Pacific Northwest community, but just trust me, don’t do it. If you must, get a pair of no show socks. While certainly better than calf high socks with your shorts, I can find them a little frustrating as they can roll inside of your shoe. Which, is why I personally like to go sans socks.
Don’t Cover Up
You bought those cute pair of sneakers to show off to the world, so don’t go and cover them up! What I’m wearing here is as flared of a jean as I would go with cute sneakers. Anything more and what’s the point? Skinny, cuffed, or ankle cut jeans are all perfect to rock with your new cute sneakers. Or go wild and wear them with a casual dress! I love a cute floral sundress with a pair of classic Keds.
How do you like to rock sneakers with jeans?

I totally was going for the dress/cute sneaker look when we were in Vegas … Packed it all, go to wear it and the dress was too big! So plan B was sneakers with jeans. Still semi cute, ha!

You look so cute! I’m still trying to master jeans and true sneakers (I wear my Natives with jeans, but does that count?!)

Heck yes it counts! After seeing your instaposts about wearing them all over Italy and them holding up so well they are definitely on my list to purchase!
