Wow, where did August go? Can you believe September is here already? This month for the Love Your Closet Challenge, we styled a slip dress! This was a fun one for me. Dresses are my secret to looking completely put together in a flash. Throw on a dress and presto, instant outfit.
For those who might just be tuning in, the Love Your Closet Challenge is a monthly challenge I created to help us dig in the backs of our closets, learn to style what we already own, and fall back in love with our clothes!
The idea is that every month, a different closet staple is chosen, something that most people will have in the back of their closets. And, once per week, for the entire month, you style it in a different and unique way.
With the craziness that is Covid, a slip dress was the perfect thing to style this month. It was light, breezy, and very comfortable. I rocked mine on Zoom meetings, and socially distanced date nights with the Handsome Hunk.

Let’s take a look at how I styled my slip dress this month…
Date Night

I loved this cute and easy look. The handsome hunk and I have been spending most of our time at home since March, so we took advantage of some gorgeous weather, and a completely empty outdoor patio to share a beer in the sunshine at a local brewery.
Work Look

This outfit was a huge hit! First off, because it’s a slip dress, it was so easy and comfy for a Zoom call, but also made me look very professional. And, the colors were just so fun and summery. I have never paired a flowy slip dress with a structured blazer before, but I loved the results.
Casual Weekend Outfit

This was a running errands outfit for me. I needed to drop something off for clients, as well as run other errands, and wanted to look casual but presentable. I loved the layering of the button up on top of the slip dress.
Brunch at Home

We had a lovely brunch with my family to celebrate my sibling’s birthdays. A build your own eggs benedict bar! 10/10 recommend this! And, then eating in the garden with the birds chirping and mimosas flowing. And, this was the perfect light and breezy outfit for the occasion.
