Rebranding with High Note Designs

When I started Typically Jane 3 years ago, I worked hard to design a site for myself that was a reflection of me. But, as time went on, it stopped being a reflection of what I wanted this little corner of the internet to be.

Typically Jane has been a hobby of mine for years, but with the start of 2020, I kept thinking in the back of my head, this could be so much more. I want to put more time and effort into this blog to see what it can become, see my post on what I’ll be doing this year to grow my blog. My first big step in getting serious about Typically Jane was to rebrand into what I wanted this site to be going forward.

In comes in Lisette with High Note Designs.

First, a little about Lisette. I have been a follower of hers for quite some time, both her healthy living lifestyle blog, and her web design business. She is truly a lovely person, inside and out. I loved her design style and aesthetic. She designs truly beautiful branding and websites for her clients.

I was really excited when I reached out to her about rebranding my site, and she was just launching a new branding service for her clients. I knew the stars had aligned and this was meant to be.

We discussed the feel and look I was going for with my brand. I had a running Pinterest board with images that spoke to me, and a list of things I really did not like. I cannot believe that she was able to take my jumbled pot of ideas and put it together in a cohesive, and beautiful brand that I can be proud of.

While the design definitely has her stamp of professionalism, it felt completely me. Somehow it was like she was able to take the soul of what I wanted, and put it together into a classic and sophisticated design.

She was able to see what I was too close to see clearly. As we were talking, she was able to see that my life was actually the sounding board for the exact branding I wanted to bring to my site. She saw that everything from engagement shot with my husband to my Thanksgiving tablescape was the exact look I was going for with my blog. Which is the reason it fit me so well.

She took inspiration from my home in the Pacific Northwest, and things that I loved to create a classic meets casual look, that felt so much like me. It was the brand I had already been creating in my every day life, without even knowing it! And, Lisette was able to tap into that to create something completely me!
