This is part 1 of our wedding reveal, be sure to check out our Pacific Northwest wedding reception too.
You know all those sappy people who say their wedding is the happiest day of their lives? Those are the people I would roll my eyes at. Sorry guys! I mean, you have a lifetime of happiness with a person, and the party you throw yourselves is the best day of your life? What a bunch of narcissists. I never understood it.
That is until August 10th 2019.
I am now proudly one of those sappy, love struck, delusional, narcissistic people. My wedding day was the best day of my life.
I cried. Like all damn day long. I was just so happy and my body couldn’t contain all my emotions, so they spilled out my eyes. I got to marry my best friend in the whole world. And, it was perfect.
And, it really was the best wedding ever.
I swear! Not like how everyone says their wedding was the best wedding. Okay, so yeah, maybe it’s just like that.
I had both my parents walk me down the aisle, which was important to me. I immediately started crying as soon as I saw Tom. Then basically, didn’t stop the whole rest of the day. Happy tears! We got married on the beach, with the islands in the background, and boats puttering past in the sunshine.
The handsome hunk even snuck in a surprise! He hid champagne in our wedding arch, so after our first kiss he grabbed the bottles for us and we popped champagne on our recessional back down the aisle, and toasted with our wedding party at the end. The perfect way to start a marriage.
To share this day, I was considering doing a huge photo dump. But, then decided that would probably be overwhelming, and instead, I would break this into a few parts. So, here is the ceremony.
Our incredible photographer was none other than the brilliant Suzanne Rothmeyer. While she no longer does wedding photography, her portfolio will give you all the feels.
